I am an alumna of Parsons the New School of Design who currently teaches at Fuller Elementary School GT/AIG in Raleigh, NC. Prior to my move from NJ, I taught at the college level as an adjunct at Centenary College in Hackettstown, NJ (in both the Fine Arts and Fashion Departments) as well as at the elementary/middle school level at Immaculate Conception Regional School in Franklin, NJ (Art – Kindergarten thru seventh grade).
The scope of my experience spans over three decades. It includes designing for a subsidiary company of Jones of New York, designing wedding gowns and evening apparel and finally, designing dance costumes for the stage. I began teaching over a decade ago and especially enjoy the experience of working with young people. Combined with the ability to convey visual art concepts using various teaching strategies I manage to consistently achieve a high level of success in the classroom.
I am an enthusiastic and energetic educator who works well collaboratively with other teachers. As an art teacher I believe strongly in creating interdisciplinary lessons that re-enforce concepts taught in the classroom. Additionally, my pleasant personality lends itself well to interacting with people in the work environment.
